Here's what went down in the Sorrell house today:

8:00 - Mommy wakes up and is happy to not hear small child rustling around; snuggles back into bed.
8:15 - Mommy decides she should probably take advantage of child's sleeping-ness and gets up and showers. She also glances at the laundry pile and decides to put it off until tomorrow.
8:30 - Hannah is now awake and lying in bed chatting with her stuffed animals. Mommy swoops in, gives morning hugs, and does a quick diaper change, puts on clothes for the day, and fixes hair.
8:45 - Mommy gets herself ready while Hannah roams around the top floor of the house; then, both go downstairs to grab a quick b'fast (bananas and milk).
9:05 - Leave for gymnastics and Hannah eats the 2nd half of breakfast in the car (cheerios, dried fruit, and juice). Mommy makes a phonecall to check on the emotional status of newly empty-nester Grandma during the drive.
9:30 - Tiny Tumbler Time at North Raleigh Gymnastics.
10:30 - Head for home (make a brief call to Nana and Papa to welcome Papa back from his trip) and stop and browse at Goodwill on the way. Snag 99¢ Winnie the Pooh VHS and 50¢ Nalgene bottle. Drop off Daddy's library book so he won't get more late fines.
11:30 - Mommy washes LOTS of pots and pans while Hannah stands on a small chair and instructs her on where each dish should be placed in the drainer.
12:00 - Hannah stands on chair at sink and plays with water and a bucket (and plastic Easter egg halves) while Mommy fixes and eats her lunch. Hannah runs back and forth between taking bites of Mommy's sandwich and playing in the sink. Mommy manages to also squeeze a few grapes and cheez-its in both their mouths between cleaning up water spills.
12:15 - Both snuggle together on the couch to watch the new Winnie the Pooh movie. Mommy needs to put her feet up!
12:30 - Hannah decides they should read a book about Easter instead. Mommy happily obliges and read that and MANY other books while still keeping her feet up :) They also sing songs during this time. Current favorite: "God Loves a Cheerful Giver!" or to Hannah, "the haha song".
1:00 - Head upstairs and Mommy lays (on her left side, as to be a good Mommy to Rebekah as well) on the bed in guest room/playroom while Hannah plays with various toys. She makes Mommy a "lunch" of plastic grapes, an entire chicken, and a tomato. The baby doll has a waffle. They also do all the puzzles they own and discuss sharing and being kind at length. While playing, Mommy racks her brain and finally figures out what they will be having for dinner - homemade pizza!
2:00 - Hannah declares she is hungry and they head downstairs for a snack of milk, animal crackers, and fruit snacks. Mommy sets the kitchen timer to remind her of when to start the pizza dough.
2:30 - Back upstairs to read a book and lie down for a nap.
2:40 - Mommy checks the mail, shoots off an "I love you" email to Daddy, and sits down to read her bible.
2:45 - Hannah freaks out because Mommy forgot to remove her ponytail holders and that is just not acceptable. Mommy removes unwanted elastic and re-blanket-ifies her daughter.
2:47 - Mommy sits back down to read her bible and is thankful that she decided not to do laundry today.
3:00 - Mommy decides to write this post.
3:01 - Mommy begins typing and realizes her fingernails need to be cut very badly.


Prediction for the rest of the day:

3:30 - Mommy finishes blog post and cuts and files fingernails while watching last week's 30 Rock episode.
4:00 - Mommy goes back downstairs to start pizza dough and, theoretically, does something really productive during the next hour or so.
5:00 or 5:30 - Hannah awakes and they play together between Mommy making and baking pizzas.
6:30 - Daddy home! Dinnertime.
7:00 - Everyone takes a walk, either around the neighborhood or at the park.
8:00 - Hannah to bed; Mommy and Daddy watch Community.
8:30-10:00 - Mommy and Daddy hang out until one is about to fall over from tiredness, most likely Daddy.
